Located at the corner of First Avenue and Arnold Street NE in Cullman’s historic Warehouse District, the Festhalle Marketplatz is Alabama’s largest timber-frame structure that hosts a variety of activities and events year-round – including the Farmers Market and the annual Oktoberfest celebration, among others.
All produce sold at the Festhalle Marketplatz farmer’s market must be grown by the vendor, who must also provide a certified copy of their grower’s permit in order to sell at the Market. All hand-made crafts must also be made by the vendor. Regular daily space rental rates are $10-$15 per space (10 during the week and 15 on Saturdays). Cost of a seasonal rental (April through October) is $350. Anyone interested in becoming a produce or arts & craft vendor should contact the Market Manager.
Public & Private Rental
The Festhalle Marketplatz is available for public and private rentals throughout the year. Daily rental fee of the Festhalle is $200. A $50 refundable cleanup deposit is also required. Contact the Market Manager for more info.
Senior Nutrition Program Vouchers
Senior Nutrition Program Vouchers are accepted at the Festhalle Marketplatz. Contact the Cullman County Commission on Aging at 256-734-1241 for eligibility information. Vendors who wish to be able to accept vouchers for produce can find out more at the Alabama Farmers Market Authority site.
